Being Looked Down

It's very long since I did my last blog post and so I decided to just post something since I had nothing on :)
This is something I know a lot of people can relate to: being looked down. Be it academically, family background or even a not so decent past, people in society will still find chance to criticize. It's like when you do badly in your studies, or come from a second rated school(although MOE says every school is the same, I think a lot of people are still used to discriminating them) people will compare you to being more inferior and saying that you cannot do good or whatever. Especially those in ITE. I don't get it why people have this thought thinking that ITE stands for 'It's The End'. Being in ITE means cannot do good in life? Sometimes instead of looking at he surface of the issue, have you ever think deeper? Sometimes it not that they don't want to do good its the environment around them which don't allow it to happen. But if they try harder, they can still succeed in life like Mediacorp actor, Romeo Tan. He was once in ITE but look at him now, a successful actor in showbiz. I was inspired by this one phrase he always say: " It doesn't matter how slow you go, as long as you do not stop". Nice phrase to encourage to others. So those in ITE, it is NOT the end as long as you don't give up on yourself. It is how you look at yourself that really matters.

For some people, it is not the academics that they get criticized. It's about their past. Just like the recent channel 8 drama 'Gonna Make It' about a girl who's just released from prison and she have this dream of being a hairstylist. Of course because of the record, she had trouble looking for a job and being looked down wherever she go. Even if someone puts their heart and soul trying to change, with that record, will people believe them? That's society for you. If people don't give them a chance to change over, how do they expect them to change? And then, criticism comes in...as usual. That's why I say, sometimes its not that so and so don't want to change for the better, its the circumstances they are in don't allow them to.
So stop judging and looking down on others because with enough work and effort, one day they will be able to defeat you.

Aloysius's 23rd birthday

So last Saturday(10 Aug) I went to Pizza Hut at Funan Digitalife Mall to celebrate Aloysius Pang's 23rd birthday together with all the other Pangsters! It was an amazing day that I'll never forget...
At first, me and my friend, Cheryl were like thinking where the hell is Funan Digitalife mall. Both of us had never been there before and according to their website they said that we are supposed to alight at City Hall MRT and walk for 5 minutes. The problem is WALK WHERE? So we just followed the crowd HAHA. In the mean time, we walked past the St. Andrew Cathedral and its damn big. I've been inside once(although I'm not a christian) but whatever. And yeap soon, we saw that building. Yeap, this building:

We went up to the 3rd floor and looked for Pizza Hut, where the party is held. However, at that time it was only 12+ and the party starts at 2. So we did a little bit of shopping and yeah.
It was soon 2 and we went to Pizza Hut. A few of them were already there and we registered with the admin :) Shes so nice and friendly! ^^

That's her! I was quite surprised that the admin was an adult. Normally its all teenage girls LOL

By right we were supposed to pay $10 for the food and everything but there was somehow a discount and we only need to pay $5! It includes a fan tee, food, a poster of aloy, goodie bag and of course his signature <3 Its just awesome.
We were first served the food: 1 slice Hawaiian,2pcs sweet n spicy drumlets, criss cross fries and pepsi~ We ate and waited for Aloy to come :) and camwore at the same time :P
My classmate, Cheryl :)
And then... he arrived <3 HAHA look how happy he is ^^ So basically, the whole pizza hut is filled with 'orange people' xD
And its amazing to see him wear the same shirt as us! Pangsters! :D He just look so cute in it. Sometimes I don't believe that he is actually 23 :3 Look more like 18 haha ^^
Here comes the birthday boy~
Oh yeah and not to forget! Dasmond Koh was there as well! ^^ Took a photo with him too.
Ok i look weird i know ._.

Everything on saturday went really smooth. We sang the birthday song for him, Cut the cake and he personally served the cake for us! Its so chocolatey but the so called 'skin' of the cake is i think peanuts and its really nice!

Wonder what he wished for... ;P
After chatting, eating and freezing to hell(the aircon is freaking strong) finally... photo taking and autograph session! WOOHOOOOO~ Theres like a freaking long line of people infront of me and I'm like right there behind, shivering >.< So cold~
You see he so tall! 182 cm lehh >.<

Oh yeah and i gave him a scrapbook as a present :) Hope he likes it ^^ To be honest I spent like i think 1 week+ on that :3 Oh well~!
busy signing the posters ;D
Oh yeah and if u are wondering how exactly the fan tee looks like, here it is:

The front

The back

Some people says it looks like pink in pictures. No it doesn't. Its neon orange and its so damn comfy <3 better than my school's PE to be honest :3 And the poster with his signature...Pasted it on my room wall :3
Alright i think i'll just end off this blog post soon with pictures :P
Thank you for reading and do check out his twitter here and his blog here !

Puppy Love

Have you ever experienced puppy love? Also commonly known as: crush. I believe that many of you had, where you like someone from the opposite gender. I did. But that was when I was in primary school. I actually liked this guy who is kinda cute to me at that point of time (who knows what am i thinking that time!) But I DON'T like him already ahhh! >.< Normally puppy love is temporary, but i have some friends who liked someone for like 4,5 years? But yeah, all of these are still considered temporary uh.. its gonna be gone one day. Some people are lucky that the person they likes, like them back. Its really a good feeling to know that. But for some other people, they will try to get their crush's attention, hoping that they will like them back. I was in that position once. But how do you know that you fallen for someone? Take note of these signs and you will know ;)
1) You tend to "ignore" that person. Yes, you will pretend that you didn't see him/her whenever he/she walks past you or just standing beside you.
2) You will feel shy, discomforted when he/she is around you.
3) You laugh at every single thing they do. Funny, not funny, you just laughed.
4) You will feel jealous/rejected when you see him/her playing with other girls/boys
5) When you are suppose to get into groups for whatever reason. be it games or group work, you pray in your heart that you will be in the same group as your crush.
6) You will try to get their attention in whatever way possible. Talk to them, play with them or even get them gift/presents.
That's about it. Sometimes we will do silly things just to get our crush's attention. Like me, last time I did a scrapbook for him but what did I get in the end? NOTHING -,- I'm not saying that you can't do things for him/her but TRY not to uh. And of course sometimes you will think of asking your crush for a relationship. I don't have a foolproof way of letting your crush accept you (unless he/she likes you too!) because its really up to the guy/girl you are going for. I also once had that thought but once I learnt that he already liked someone, I tried to forget about him and yeah once I got into secondary school, I became a really hardcore fan girl of Tosh Rock and Aloysius Pang(partly influenced by friends) and I forgot all about him...which is a good thing. Now we don't even chat or meet up at all. I still take him as a friend but I don't know if its the same for him ._. It doesn't even matter now :) But if ask me if I had any crush for secondary school, my answer to you is NEVER IN THIS LIFE. I'm serious. I'm just gonna say this once and for all. Please people stop asking me who I like and whatnot. Then when I say no one you people don't believe me. So what's the point of asking? Ok I think I have nothing else to say and yeah, good luck to all of you chasing after your crushes! ;)
